Yes, security was 100% perfect, and Mitt was proven 100% wrong. Poor guy was just parrotting stuff he read in the tabloids, and didn't have a clue about not insulting the host. The Brits said they were "breathless" when they heard his stabs.
Breathless as in "we can't believe this guy's stupidity".
Mitt comes to Britain in an effort to establish himself as an international player, future commander-in-chief, one that the our allies and enemies will have to deal with if elected and he visits our major allies and opens his mouth criticizing them for something that should not even be his concern as it is an internal UK affair: Brits were responsible for the Olympics and not anybody else.
When you are a guest it is fine to criticize the host, but you should at least have some idea of what is going on.
Mitt is like most conservatives, very anti-USA and lacking the ability to understand anything outside of their own small world. The old Mormon fool Mitt, thinks putting on the minor league Olympics in the backwater village of Salt Lake City is comparable with putting on the real Olympics in London.
Yeah, because you're not a partisan, namecalling hack AT ALL.
I tried to watch the finale, but kept thinking "did this get staged by people on an LSD trip?" I usually love the closing ceremony, but this one fell flat. Sydney was the benchmark for me.
I honestly didn't... Who cares? Olympics were flawless, no security issues in 10M London, no transportation issues, no major mishaps, NBC says it was the most watched event in history of the US even though it took place abroad, which is not really typical for America.
Of course you may not like this or that but logistically the Olympics were a huge success...
I can't believe the Brits actually pulled it off in already overcrowded and congested London.
Was he even invited to go over there or was his trip planned by his handlers as a money raiser and out of courtesy the mayor of London agreed to a face-to-face? If that is the actual scenario, then Mitt's a real putz!
P***ing on someone else's cornflakes when you've been invited to breaky seems a bit dumber than the usual faux-paus.

He acted like a hick. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
He also got it wrong. There were no problems. That just makes him look stupid.
And experience. Remember, he put on games that were well run, had not security issues, and turned a profit.
In the backwoods of America; give us a break here! Security for winter games in b**-***k Utah as opposed with the center of one of the largest cities on the planet and you're going to actually compare the two? On any aspect?
Well...one of the jobs of being POTUS is being forthright. Refreshing. Nice to see a politician who says what he thinks even if he isn't trying to kiss behind.
To parapharse either Lincoln or P.T. Barnum "You can't please everyone all the time."
Better than talking out of both sides of your mouth.
NBC says the most watched even in US history and you are still not satisfied?
How about the Olympic games as a huge advertising campaign for England and London?
How about tourists that will come to the city because they saw it on TV?
Every city in the world dreams about hosting the Olympics and it is not for the money you make on the actual games.
