"You kids think that you are so smart - well let me tell you something - there are a lot of smart kids out there.
Yes, to earn the honor of walking across this stage you had to work hard - but remember this - there are a whole bunch of hard working people out there.
The bottom line is this - earning these degrees - you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.

Posts like this make it obvious that some right wingers should go to college and maybe learn that there's a difference between a college degree and a college campus. And that college students don't build them.

Do you think that colleges would continue to exist if no students attended them?
I know full well that public universities are subsidized by taxpayer funds and that private universities rely on endowments and other private donations - however - education is not free, the students also contribute, and it is their hard work, scholarship, research, achievement, and tuition payments which gives a college or university its prestige and allows it to attract top talent.
I think that you are glossing over the importance of students - quite simply, without them - there would be no colleges or universities.

Since so many of today's kids are lazy bums who cheat off someone else's paper, he would probably be correct in making this speech.
Obama is a great advocate for the education of our youth. Much more so than the Republicans are. Obama would likely say he is proud of them and the future is in their hands.
"We're going to do what's fair. We're going to redistribute your degree to some kid that didn't graduate high school. There's no reason, with a little government training program, that kid couldn't become...oh, I don't know, let's say a college professor."
I'm sure that he would start off like this; "My Fellow Comrades"
