I realize I may be in the minority here, but almost all of the TV shows I watch are on DVR, so I simply fast-forward through all the commercials. If this practice is as common as I think it is, then all of those hundreds of millions of dollars are being spent on TV ads targeting voters who (a) are undecided and (b) don't have or use a DVR.
Most people don't have DVRs and even those who do still like to watch things right when its on instead of waiting. If I don't get up in a commercial break I can't really help but watch them. I generally just roll my eyes.
No. If I'm watching something that is not on my DVR so I can't FF through it, I always mute the commercials. So I guess ALL television advertising is wasted on me.

I try not to watch any of them, they are almost always nothing more than lies and propaganda, they got real nasty between Cruz and DeHurst here in Texas, not worth a second of my life. Use the Mute button.
