Say what?

Quote:
Senior campaign adviser David Axelrod, speaking on "Fox News Sunday," repeated claims that Obama's plan would cut the deficit by $4 trillion over the next decade, bringing the budget shortfall down to a point that would "stabilize" the debt.
"And then, with growth, we'll be in a position to begin reducing it further," he said.
But, when pressed, Axelrod would not say when the president's plan could bring the budget into balance. With the deficit clocking in at more than $1 trillion once again this year, he suggested that's not the goal in the near-term.

Wow... If I ran my household budget the same way the President and Congress runs the federal budget, I would be living in my car starving to death.

In fact, not only do we not have a balanced budget, Congress hasn't PASSED a budget, and both (R) and (D) turned down the President's budget.

Obama presented a budget. The Senate voted it down without a single vote for it. The Senate has refused to present a budget, balanced or not. That is what they get paid for. I have no idea why the people haven't rose up and refused to pay them.

Anyone remember this?

Balancing the budget is NEVER a good idea in the eyes of many of these politicians.

No, that is not what will happen. If we were in good economic times Mr.Axlerod would be saying "Everyone is profiting and making money yet the GOP wants to cut spending making children go hungry and putting old people out on the streets."

Hopefully someday you'll learn that running your household isn't the same as running a nation, unless of course you are a republican and insist on taking a voluntary pay cut even though your expenditures have to remained largely the same.

Did you post out of pure ignorance?

A nations budget is .. or should be run exactly as a household budget!

Just because it isn't doesn't negate that fact!
You don't spend more than you take in!
Period!
