I think the LAW should have been carried out to the fullest extent. DC where the law said No Hand Guns, and getting caught shooting someone 10 feet down from the balcony, IN the POOL who can't possibly be a threat, with a gun that had ground off numbers.......

The ground off serial numbers issue has been a no no for decades. Any legal owner knows that. I've been offered some for sale in the past. I turned my back on the guy and didn't even touch it. "Look, I'm not going to call the Cops on you." "You had better get that goddamn stolen gun out of here right quick before I do though!"
The sad part is the guy trying to sell it PAID for it.
I wasn't the first person to warn him of what he BOUGHT!

I wouldn't touch it either... Once i owned a very old .22 single shot bolt gun, that was made with no numbers, but there were no grinding marks either.... Traded it for a garden tiller long ago. The gun worked the tiller didn't run.. it does now
