Fun fact about your link, Obama was sworn in January 20, 2009.

January 2009 unemployment was up to 7.3% and rising....how exactly was Obama going to act as president and try to lower unemployment if he wasn't even a sitting president yet? Got a good answer for that?

So using YOUR logic......

7.3% to 8.3% is not an increase?

Are you getting the message yet?
Are you trying to convince yourself? There was no obstruction possible in the first two years when the democrats had all branches of government. The recession accelerated on election day, Nov 2008 when business get the bad news about Obama's election. Our economy has always had underlying strength. Even the Obama disastrous economic policy could not stop a two year recession from ending. A severe recession has always been followed by a strong recovery. Not this time with Obama. Yes the GOP blocked Obama from getting more quid pro quo stimulus from being passed in his last two years. But the democrats blocked 30 GOP jobs bills from being passed.

GM would have gone bankrupt no matter what and doing so would have saved the American taxpayer's money (which GM still owes about $40 billion...$30 Billion of which we'll never see). It would still exist.

Obama turned-over ownership to his UAW cronies.

I wonder why then a vast majority of Americans say the opposite?
As I stated in my original retort, the legislative branch is a cluster$#$#, democrat or republican. Reid won't let the budget reach the senate floor to peeve off the house republicans, nothing more, nothing less. Again as I said, this country's woes do not actually come from the Executive branch, POTUS gets the blame while Congress skates free and the people are too dense not knowledgeable about how their government actually works and relies on soundbites irregardless of the truth or how things actually function. For instance, how many people clamor about putting "God" back in schools? Considering separation of church and state is a founding principle, when was it ever or a simple fact we have a Republican form of government.

Yes GM would have gone bankrupt, without the bailout, it would have gone belly up completely. Take into account all of their direct employees at that time and all of the employees from companies that supplied GM or Chrysler and figure out where this country would have been to lose 2 of its big three.

Opps, I read it wrong, Obama took office with unemployment at 7.8%, not 7.3% my bad.

And in case you are wondering during Bush in office unemployment went from 5.7% to 7.8% I guess that isn't considered an increase in your book cause it happened when Bush was in charge?

Well if he takes credit for it on day one, it was at 7.8% unless you are telling me he should take credit for it before he took office, that would just be strange.

7.8% is the figure I used, and you didnt like that figure because its from day 1, hence the reason I asked what month he should start taking credit for it.

So you have a problem that unemployment has gone up about half a point from four years ago while ignoring the fact that it is down from 10% which we were forecast long before Obama won office.

Also, going from 5.7 to 7.8% isn't a bad thing? That also happened under Bush's watch which I understand you can't bring yourself to criticizes even if he did damage to our country.

Also, in case you missed it in your chart unemployment was going in an upward direction long before Obama took office, are you blaming that on Obama as well?
