I personally know of three people who since Obama has been in office have applied for and received food stamps (card). All three of them are alcoholics and would rather stay home and drink than work. All three of them sell their food stamps for 50 cents on the dollar and buy alcohol with the money. They do this by hanging out at a grocery store and approaching people as they come in. They buy the person's groceries with their food card and the person in turn gives them half the amount in cash. It happens all the time.
All three of the people I mentioned could work, but they don't want to. I did report it, but nothing was done about it. There are many more than the three I know about.
Just curious. Since they no longer distribute food stamps, how do they sell them?

I believe that people should provide for their offspring.
If, they by some extreme circumstance are unable to do so , I am willing to help.
I am not willing to subsidize those not willing to help themselves.
Abuse (and toleration of abuse) of a system meant to help those truly in need is intollerable. I believe that abuse is rampant (I will not quote annecdotal evidence, but I know what I see).
The simple fact that no "bleeding heart" will address:
"No one should suffer because they lack {fill in the blank}" should be prefaced with "No one should be compelled to labor for the benefit of another, so that..." because slavery is not an acceptable solution to the ills of mankind.
Voluntary charity is a blessing.
Compulsory charity is a curse.
If you don't want children to starve, DONATE your own money and resources. Do not use government to compel others to "donate".

Conservatives tell us no sex education, no access to birth control, no abortion even if you get raped . . . and then they tell us no food for children.
You are stating that it is wasteful to feed children. That's sick.
That's right, parents should teach their children sex ed at home, you HAVE access to birth control and if you can't get your horny butt to a gynecologist to get a prescription or use condoms that are handed out in OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS and you God forbid get raped and pregnant because you are not on birth control, then yes, you should have the baby and give it up for adoption. There are plenty of childless couples who are desperate to adopt.
Otherwise, if you can't keep your knees together, don't have children unless you can afford to feed them!

I am not in favor of taxpayer funded abortions performed through Planned Parenthood. If Planned Parenthood closed up its butcheries and purely focused on women's HEALTH and preventive planning, I would not have an objection to a small amount of Federal funding going to PP. The only thing abortions prevent - is life.
