What was the motivation for putting out this piece of garbage? A small number of Israeli's making a statement like that is enough to incite the whole middle east and further fuel hatred for the US. Thanks, friends.
If a bunch of anti-gay bigots went on a murderous rampage after Broke Back Mountain aired, would you be blaming the gays for causing the problem?
Why are liberals so supportive of Islamic violence?
Does this go along with the liberals here on c-d who call Jews 'occupiers' of Israel?
What an ugly mindset.
Israel sees the guy who made this video for who he is. Why can't you?
"The Israeli government moved quickly to distance Israel from the creator of the film. Yigal Palmor, the spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, said in a telephoned statement that “Nobody knows who he is. He is totally unknown in filmmaking circles in Israel. And anything he did — he is not doing it for Israel, or with Israel, or through Israel in any way.” Mr. Palmor also called Mr. Bacile “a complete loose cannon and an unspeakable idiot. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/13/wo...nted=2&_r=1&hp
If a fictionalized version of a story can cause real life people to be killed an riots all over the Middle East; maybe the film maker isn't the problem.
We should not give up our rights to appease a bunch of reactionary savages. And, yes, that is exactly that is exactly what they are acting like.
I have no problem with the filmmakers right to make and distribute this film. And, yes, the people that stormed the embassies and killed our diplomats are responsible for their actions. The violence was predictable, given how much of it we've seen whenever there is a perceived disrespect for the Koran or their religion. And maybe it was just a matter of time b4 this was done anyway.
And that's where the problem is. Do you pull the dog's tail when you know he will bite if you do?
We can see the film for what it is, and the very, very small number of people from either Isreal or the US who put this out, but, predictably, that is not how it is playing in parts of the Muslim world. JMO
One needs to ask, what is the point of spending 5 million on a movie that nobody would actually see? Isn't this the expected result? I am not defending the murderers in Libya. A movie should not be justification for killing anyone, but the movie is no more than 5 million dollar insult, which appears to be nothing more than a way to rile the radical muslims...to what end?
No the expected result is NOT suppose to be murder, well at least in a normal part of the world. It proves that this part of the world is filled with animals.

I agree. To rile them up or point out that their prophet is a pedophile would seem to be the only reason for it. But the buddhists didn't kill anyone when the Taliban blew up their holy sites in Afghanistan and the Christians didn't kill anyone for the Christ-in-the-urine-jar picture. The Islamo-nazis (not all of Islam) need to realize that they can't threaten and kill others just because they criticize their religion. In our free speech, we can call out Catholic priests who are pedophiles and we can do so with politicians. it seems like all other religions can be criticized/satirized, but not Islam. Islam will not (and should not) be given special dispensation.
Well Sam, good work. You got the US Ambassador of Libya and three of his staff killed and the American Embassy in Cairo is under attack.
Was it really a provocative political statement or to incite violence??
In US history, there were similar occurrences after a black youth whistled at a white woman. Feel free to join us in 2012 where as dispicable as the film and it's director may be....we don't run out in the streets killing people that had NOTHING to do with it.

There are programs on tv in islamic countries all the time, even on kids shows, calling for violence and the killing of jews and misinformation about them. The same in their school lessons.
While this film clip was innane. It took unattractive information contained in islamic holy books about the actual life of their prophet, who they consider the perfect man, that they already study. Merely portraying Mo in any way whatsoever, good or bad, is a killing offence in islam.
They desire respect but are unwilling to give it to any other religion or set of people for the most part. Kind of like street gangs demanding respect through violence.

Hey, when did that star on my reputation get there?
If a bunch of anti-gay bigots went on a murderous rampage after Broke Back Mountain aired, would you be blaming the gays for causing the problem?
Of course I would, just as I blame those involved in attacking the embassies for what has happened there. But the Middle East is not America, and they would have found some other reason to attack the embassies at some point. But the whole world could have predicted this reaction and that they would use this movie as an excuse for violence.
