ABC News sued for defamation over 'pink slime' - Businessweek
I like it, and hope that ABC gets burnt, just like NBC did when 'Dateline NBC' lost several defamation suits in the 1990's. 'Pink Slime' was just a kind of processed beef, and all beef is processed one way or another. Somebody came up with a striking and disgusting-sounding moniker, and ABC ran with it. Six hundred or so Americans lost their jobs in the wake of the media hysteria. "Pink slime" maker to close 3 plants, cut jobs - CBS News
The real slime is the MSM. It's been proven time and time again.
Exactly. Now if only someone holds Fox News accountable for the "death panels" debacle.
DUDE!!!
I'm living out a death panel right now with my 82 yo dad!
Once Medicare owns you, you are at their mercy!!!!
They decided my dad was not worth saving.
"Well, you know, his age and everything"
They are making it happen.
They removed all his fluids and food, while he is still conscious, eye tracking and communicating by squeezing my hand, pointing and eyebrow movements. He is pushing urine and has been hungry since he went into the hospital to monitor him for some pain medication. The morning I took him in, I fixed him eggs, ham & toast with orange juice. They put him on a liquid diet, that he refused. Little did he know, that would be his last meal.
His kidneys should be shutting down from lack of fluids any day now, if dieing of starvation doesn't get him.
Besides "pink slime" did you know they also have a glue they use on meat ?
transglutaminase or "meat glue" is used to piece together scraps of meat into looking like a nice cut.
You think that filet mignon is a solid cut ? Maybe and then again maybe not.
'Meat glue' poses health risks for consumers | abc7.com
If you were disturbed to hear about "pink slime" in your burger, you'll want to know about "meat glue," because a fat, rare-cooked filet mignon may not be what it seems. Meat glue is a powder officially known as transglutaminase. Originally, the natural enzyme was harvested from animal blood. Now it's primarily produced through the fermentation of bacteria. Added to meat, it forms a nearly invisible and permanent bond to any other meat you stick it to.
ABC will win as they were completely factually correct and this is just another frivolous lawsuit.
Thanks for your expert legal opinion Sparky. By the way, where and why type of law do you practice?
