China calls Romney's accusations 'as false as they are foolish' | McClatchy

On Thursday, the Republican presidential candidate released a new ad on manufacturing jobs contending that "for the first time, China is beating us" and that President Obama has "failed to stop China's cheating." Campaigning in Virginia, Romney added: "The president has had the chance year after year to label, to label China a currency manipulator, but he hasn't done so and I will label China the currency manipulator they are on the first day."

The official New China news agency responded Friday with an editorial calling Romney's remarks "as false as they are foolish" and saying that it is "ironic that a considerable portion of this China-battering politician's wealth was actually obtained by doing business with Chinese companies before he entered politics."

China hates being called on its currency manipulation. They deny every time. Just because Romney isn't bowing to China the Obamabots call him a "dummy". Brilliant OP!

I was glad that the article hit on the silliness of labeling China as a currency manipulater. Ask anyone with a little knowledge who are the present day manipulaters and they would easily answer China and the US. Administrations form both parties have come to agree that labeling does not do any good.

I can just see Mittens now " I label you as a currency manipulater " and he slams a rolled up newspaper on his desk " bad China bad ". Both parties are so alike anything said about trade will soon be forgotten when they are in office. How's Obama's I want to renogiate NAFTA working out?

The AFL-CIO agrees with Mitt.

Senate Votes Today on China Currency

It's really funny to watch you take an anti-union, anti-working mans stance just because you only see (R) or (D).

An intelligent response might be that they know about currency manipulation but don't believe Romney will actually do anything about it....ah, I see one poster did write that.

Go easy on versatile, they hate unions and just want the 1% to keep off-shoring.

I don't think there is a better example of the pot calling the kettle black. Every country in the world is a currency manipulator. The biggest function of any central bank is to manipulate currency. Heck QE-3 is basically currency manipulation.

Mitt Romney is clueless.

when did Obama say that he wanted to do that since us Candians would of heard something I mean bresides the SPP that was signed 2 years ago there are no new talks of Re-Doing NAFTA in fact Canada and the U.S. canot even build a simple Oil Pipeline I mean Keystone XL had more Reviews and delays and rerouting and more reviews than any other of the hundreds of 35-40 year old pipelines the Run through both our countiories where a 40 year old pipeline is more at Risk to fail from the huge amount of pressure and Metal pipes do not last forever.

So Dems are now using red propoganda as a campaign tool. How appropriate I guess.
