I agree, and I think this incident will be Romney's Waterloo in this campaign.

He bombed Mohmars tent and the crap from Mohmar came to a halt.
In this case. In Libya, these people were under control until Obama helped to unseat Mohmar. Nation building is always a mistake when dealing with radicals. Often better the devil you know then the one you dont.
Obama has no problem taking credit when things go right. He needs to take the R when they go south.

According to CNN Libya gave multiple warnings about deteriorating security and a growing presence of jihadists. One specifically three days prior to the attack. It appears nothing was done to help secure the embassy and we know what has now happened.

Benghazi, Libya (CNN) -- Three days before the deadly assault on the United States consulate in Libya, a local security official says he met with American diplomats in the city and warned them about deteriorating security.
Jamal Mabrouk, a member of the February 17th Brigade, told CNN that he and a battalion commander had a meeting about the economy and security.
He said they told the diplomats that the security situation wasn't good for international business.
"The situation is frightening, it scares us," Mabrouk said they told the U.S. officials. He did not say how they responded.

Mabrouk said it was not the first time he has warned foreigners about the worsening security situation in the face of the growing presence of armed jihadist groups in the Benghazi area."

Apparently the ambassador didn't feel in danger or he asked for more security and got none. I doubt we will ever know.

If we followed the humble foreign policy that Republicans like Taft favored, you wouldn't need to have this "POW-MIA - Never Forgotten" under your name. A very good cause but it would be non existent imo.

To top it off, Reagan pulled a "cut and run."

Yes, we cut and ran, but before we did, Reagan requested Congress give Lebanon a quarter of a billion dollars. In today's currency that would be about 2 billion (in my estimation).

I do not criticize Reagan for either cutting and running, nor giving them the money, but people need to realize that the same foreign policy has been in place a long time, and it is highly hypocritical for people to flip flop between supporting it and opposing it depending on who is in the white house.

Doesn't look like many took the time to read your link. Some are too busy saying Romney was trying to politicise things while Obama was campaigning in Vegas. Although he did take 30 seconds of his time to acknowledge we were being attacked while he was speaking.

CNN acknowledged that the Embassy had been warned 48 hours in advance and nothing was done.

Instead of getting behind the President and Chief, the Republican party and Romney are trying to tear him down and are blaming him for the attack.
Are comparing what happens now to a single terrorist attack???

I wonder how people will feel when the dust settles and they realize Obama was campaigning while our Embassies were being attacked. He was given notice 48 hours in advance and did nothing.

In the CNN article it does reference the movie but also says they were chanting "Obama Obama, we love Osama".

Maybe the campaign needs to start saying GM is dead and Osama is alive. Or at least apologize for getting Bin Laden.
