Never ending cycle. A consumption tax is only if you consume something and I can control my consumption to lower my tax burden, but the property tax is a permanent noose around the neck.

OK, back on topic.
i think it's much easier to avoid land value tax. *shrug*

I don't believe Georgism is a strict application in libertarianism. In, fact, I have come across many libertarians who are hostile to Georgism, especially right leaning libertarians. They don't believe in fair share or appropriation restraints on natural resources. Instead, they believe in homesteading - first come, first serve.

ya geolibertarians have received a lot of hostility, including from myself as little as a decade ago. i have since become more sympathetic to their views. but then land ownership has never been very high on my list of priorities.

Land includes natural resources.

No, your self-aggrandizing and cryptic response spoke for itself.

Would you move there?
Not just no but hell no. It will be taken over by drug gangs and organized crime in no time.

The problem with libertarianism is it never works in the real world. If low taxes and lack of regulations were all that mattered all the millionaires in NY and CA would have moved to Somalia and Haiti by now but instead we see more millionaires MOVING to those places because of the good infrastructure, the numerous amenities, the strong rule of law, the many public services, and of course the high quality of life.

Its just a small country with a king. What's new about it? Depending on their property laws any rents that are created will cause someone to get easy money. Since one's labor is freed up they will be at liberty to become expert rent seekers. This group will become the de facto government. It will then become hereditary where eventually cruel despots will arise which will cause a revolutionary reaction. Didn't we do this before?

Economic rent; do something about it or just endlessly follow the same pattern.
