U.S. Officials Knew Libya Attacks Were Work of Al Qaeda Affiliates - The Daily Beast

Quote:
Within 24 hours of the 9-11 anniversary attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, U.S. intelligence agencies had strong indications al Qaeda–affiliated operatives were behind the attack, and had even pinpointed the location of one of those attackers. Three separate U.S. intelligence officials who spoke to The Daily Beast said the early information was enough to show that the attack was planned and the work of al Qaeda affiliates operating in Eastern Libya.

Nonetheless, it took until late last week for the White House and the administration to formally acknowledge that the Benghazi assault was a terrorist attack. On Sunday, Obama adviser Robert Gibbs explained the evolving narrative as a function of new information coming in quickly on the attacks. "We learned more information every single day about what happened,” Gibbs said on Fox News. “Nobody wants to get to the bottom of this faster than we do.”
More proof that the State department and this Administration lied. They held on to and pushed the notion that it was all about a movie long, long after it happened. Even to this day, Barack refuses to call it a terrorist attack.

This leads us to believe the warnings were also true, yet we did nothing.

- Intel Analysts knew Benghazi was terrorist recruiting town

- Ambassador felt his life was in danger, believed he was on an Al Qaeda hit list

- 9/11 Anniversary, youd think thered be security, but there was no official security for Stevens and no explanation of why exactly he was there at that time in the first place

- Press so quick to pounce on Romney yet have no hit Barack hard regarding potential cover up and incompetence

- Admin misled and lied to the American people and have still not provided explanations. The only press outlet close enough to ask Obama a tough question, was Univision. He did not answer the questions they asked on this

- First Ambassador murdered since the Carter Admin

Do you feel safer with this incompetence? You enjoy being lied to? Is it not obvious that you can not trust the majority of the press who not only campaign for this man but cover up for him while constantly going after his opponent?

Folks, it's time you get this information out on your own, since our press will not do so on a national scale. If they won't hold him accountable and get tough on him, it's time we do so. Get this to as many people as possible and tell them the only way to hold him accountable is to vote him out. Don't count on the press doing so because they will not.

From the point of view of the liberal mind set:
1) it was not a lie the president just did not tell the truth
2) It was not a planned attack it was a planned demonstration that they planned to attack and kill people with
3) Its Bushes fault
4) Since they are not terrorists can not be a terror attack
5) we can always apologize again for our past mistakes

I was listening to an interview with the President of Libya. Our politicians could take a lesson from him.

What he knew for a fact he was very direct about. What is under investigation he was very cautious in how he answered. He isn't in a race to win, but appears to be determined to get all the facts straight, didn't speculate, but was being practical and careful. Considerably wiser than those spouting lies, denials, incorrect information and trying to get to the finish line first.

I think it's clear that Barack Obama really did see this as nothing but a bump in the road. Look how quickly it was basically dismissed and he moved right along to his new job of campaigning. To make it worse, they continued to lie and mislead. They dont want to talk about it nor answer the tough questions and are putting it off as much as possible until the election.

There is no way, a non-liberal Administration would get away with this without significant hits in his favoribility. The press would have been all over it non-stop, demonizing and making certain every single American knew they were being lied to. Not so with Barack.

If the press did their jobs, this would destroy Obama's chances at re-election. And they know that, which is why they have not hit on this hard. Romney came out and finally said something yesterday. It's sad that it would have to take him hitting Obama on this over and over for the press to actually cover it on a national scale. And of course, they would not go after Obama but would go after Romney for daring to get tough on Obama. Seems, everyone else has to do the press's job for them when it comes to holding Obama accountable.

We also know who, specifically, is responsible for the attack. His full name is Abu Sufian Ibrahim Ahmed Hamuda Bin Qumu, and he use to be Prisoner #557 at GITMO until he was released to Libyan authorities in 2007. He was released from Abu Salim prison in 2010 following an amnesty for political prisoners.

Obama, Clinton and Romney should have kept their mouths shut on Libya. Silence or discretion would have served them all well. Romney had absolutely no information compared to what Obama and Clinton had, which apparently was little and/or incorrect. Then when Obama and Clinton realized they mis-spoke/lied, they continued to tell more lies.

Hillary is putting together a panel that will investigate this but told Congress they won't have any results until next spring.
Next spring ? Congress has asked the State Dept to provide all cables involving the Libyan Embassy and Consulate now.

Seems the State Dept requested a waiver and got it regarding standard security requirement.

Default House Armed Services chair: Obama admin hiding truth on Libya until after election

To obama the empty chair the dead tortured bodies of Americans laying on Middle Easter streets are nothing
but speed bumps on obamas road to reelection

White House briefing for Congress frustrated Senator Bob Corker so badly that he told reporters, “That is the most useless, worthless briefing I have attended in a long time.” Today, House Armed Services chair Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon told Fox News that the Obama administration seems to be deliberately hiding the “truth” about the Benghazi attack, and that the only reason he sees for the subterfuge is the date in November that’s fast approaching:

The truth is already out and Americans don't seem to care.

If you are truly concerned about dead Americans, you shouldn't support politicians who send Americans off to mettle in the affairs of sovereign nations.

That would include Obama, almost all the GOP, and half the Democrats.

The only groups that fight to stop this, are liberals and libertarians.

obviously, there is something going on,:

from CNN

FBI still not investigating in benghazi

"They had difficulty, and we understand there was some bureaucratic infighting between the FBI and Justice Department on the one hand, and the State Department on the other, and so it took them longer than they would have liked to get into country. They've now gotten there. But they still are unable to get permission to go to Benghazi."

FBI agents have made a request through the U.S. State Department for the crime scene to be secured, Townsend said, but that has not happened.

laura ingraham had the father of a murdered american soldier on her show, and it was heartbreaking that the son had said that he thought that he might be killed by the people he trained, and that he was told to APOLOGIZE to them:
Today on The Laura Ingraham Show, the grieving father of slain U.S. Marine shared his sorrow over this needless loss, and anger at the Obama Administration for failing to provide the families of "green-on-blue" victims either answers or comfort. Greg Buckley, Sr.'s son Greg, Jr., died on August 10, when an Afghan Police officer fired multiple AK-47 rounds into his chest as he worked out on an exercise bench at a Marine base in Afghanistan. A total of 51 killed in these "insider attacks" this year alone--among the dead are American, British and Australian forces. Buckley recounted that in one late May telephone call with his son, he expressed concern for his own safety due to the increasing hostility of Afghan troops and police toward Coalition forces. One shocking revelation: the Marine's father reported that his son had once been instructed by his Marine superiors to apologize to an Afghan soldier after the young Marine had defended America against the Afghan's verbal abuse. The Afghan police officer who killed his son was turned over to Afghan authorities, according to Buckley, Sr., which he found highly objectionable.

i would think that ALL americans, no matter what party there are, would come together and admit that our foreign policy is a disaster, that our soldiers are sitting ducks, that our leadership is screwed up over there, and that if our soldiers can't be protected THEY NEED TO COME HOME.

how many dead americans and grieving families will it take??????? we all need to stand up and defend our OWN citizens because this is outrageous.
