The NAACP needs to go away, forever. You either score high enough or you don't. Exams don't know what color you are. If you can't score high enough, its your fault.
Whites, Asians and others do very well. This whole everything isn't fair and this is racist and that is racist, needs to stop!
Don't be a dunce. We are talking about an exam. You either score high enough or you don't. Period. Exam questions don't care what color you are. Asians, also a minority, don't seem to have a problem.
It seems very obvious to me is that the problem isn't with the test, it's with the black and Hispanic parents... why doesn't the NAACP go harass the poor parenting skills of blacks and Hispanics? And why aren't the black and Hispanic students upset with their parents for being such bad parents?
And why isn't Rapper Himanshu Suri addressing his concerns to ALL parents, instead of suggesting that the city do more to reach young students? In addition, there are only so many openings a year for Stuyvesant...
Quote:
"In the Asian community in Queens, from a very young age, you know about Stuyvesant, you know about that test," he said in an interview, adding the city should do more to reach students who may not have parents like his, who started talking about the test with him while he was still a pre-teen.
Its about what you put into it. Study more, work harder. Some people have to put more time and effort in than others. That's just life. Deal with it without blaming others or playing the race card.
There is a lucrative business in test preparation. Kids in low income families can't afford the tutoring the kids in high income families take advantage of.
It's not a case of "working harder".
