Again, which values specific to Christianity? And if different groups have different values, why on Earth would we only govern based on ONE group? Considering this country is made up of all different types of religious groups?

If we're shaping policy based on the bible, you can't pick and choose.

So lets stop letting people wear mixed fabrics
"Neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee." -- Leviticus 19:19

and women can marry their rapists
“If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives” (Deuteronomy 22:28–29)

Better stop shaving
"Ye shall not round the corners of your heads." -- Leviticus 19:27

... and that's exactly why we shouldn't be Governing based on religion. Especially since there is no national religion in the country, and people have different beliefs.

The link is from a site called Red State, which says right on top that it's from "Powerful CONSERVATIVE Voices." Yeah, that's gonna be impartial in regards to Obama - about as fair & balanced as FOX, huh?

Doesn't really matter anyway, since there is no religious requirement for the presidency... I couldn't care less if he's a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist, or prays to the flying spaghetti monster. Just let our POTUSes focus on their jobs, and you worry about your own religious issues. Fair enough?

Christians who kept slaves. Are we bringing that back, too? Was it a bad thing? If it's bad now, was it bad then. IF not, I want my slaves. Then again, I might be a slave, which would suck.

Do Christians believe Jesus is the son of God? The founding fathers didn't. Deism.

Why don't you like Jesus? Why do you think he was just a man, and not the Son of God? LEave my Jesus alone. I think it's cool he's a man who is also Divine.

So, if "we can't pick and choose" why do those on the left and/or atheists only know the OT?

I agree, we should be governing based on religion - any religion. But we should uphold the Constitution and the laws of the land and I don't see our current President doing that.

Conservative voices, much as you would like to deny it, WILL give you a perspective to balance what you are seeing and hearing from liberal voices.

You are correct, there is no religious requiement for the presidency...but that makes me wonder why the left made such a BIG DEAL out the Romney's religion. A bit hypocritical, no?
