Like the Northeast becomes a country.
Midwest becomes a country or possibly joins with the Northeast.
The South definitely becomes a country.
Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia become Cascadia
(Cascadia (independence movement) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
California becomes a country by its own.
Not sure where the inner mountain West and Southwest go.

Good or foolish and bad idea?

Why not? The Pacific Nortwest has nothing in common with the South. People in the North and South are so different. Why cling so much to unity in this situation?

Yes.

The liberal "countries" would soon be bankrupt and we conservatives could get very, very good deals on their real estate.

Where would you get your money, since you wouldn't be able to suck off the federal teet (funded by liberals states) anymore?

No, because contrary to what many political junkies like to think, the U.S. isn't comprised of red and blue states and counties -- it's make up of mostly "purple" ones.
