Supporting or opposing a political candidate does not mean supporting or opposing that candidate's religion. This seems too simple to even have to point out.
If a person isn't religious they don't understand the nuance of it. Atheists tend to think we are as consumed with our religion as they are with their lack of it.

Yeah but publicly changing your stance on it on your website says....
And? I said I never heard Billy put political spin on things like his son does. I think at 94, Billy is no longer involved in things like deciding what's in their web site, and what is not.
My grandmother lost a lot of respect for Mr. Graham after this. But he's old, and he'll pass, and most won't remember this.
Yes, it must be age induced dementia. I used to respect Billy (not the political son, Franklin) because his God rose above political pettiness.
I cannot see anyone believing in mainstream Christianity believing that God is an alien on planet Kolob, or that when we die we will be rulers of our own planets.
Really, all that could be true, but it is not the understanding that Christians have of religion.

What if you were religious before but aren't religious now.
I can't understand the Bible because I'm not religious now?
Do they also forget the taste of bread? The sound of trees? The softness of the wind?
What you said is like saying a converted vegetarian can't understand the nuance of a steak. Simply because, hey, they don't eat steaks now. Maybe steaks have changed. Religion certainly has. Feel like crucifying some people?
Religions have done worse things than that in the name of God.

I think everyone knows that the son is a charlatan and political hack at this point.
But i don't know why the father is so respected either. He sat there in the White House and agreed with BLATANTLY anti-Jewish comments made by president Nixon. Hell, its on tape.
But that's all forgotten. Jesse Jackson says "Hymietown," and 25+ years later, he's still the worse Jew hater in America. Nevermind that Nixon and Graham's comments were much more vile.
LOL@ people thinking these religious leaders are so virtuous.
