Liberals always get defensive when a conservative accuses Obama of being one of those things, but I have not heard a liberal truly explain how Obama is not one. The fact remains that Obama was raised by communists, he had a communist mentor growing up, he is good friends with communists, he was recently endorsed by the Communist Party USA(the first president to be endorsed by CPUSA). He has also repeatedly made communist-type speeches, like "spreading the wealth around" and "you didn't build that." I heard one Obama supporter on a Facebook group recently say she wanted to shut down the Tea Party(a 1st Amendment recognized group). Not to mention he is pals with people like Sandra Fluke who wants to see the 1st Amendment right to religious freedom violated to provide free contraception to women.

you can't look up the definition of communist, Democrat, Republican, etc..., and expect real people to follow those definitions exactly. Everyone takes bits and pieces of different ideologies and creates their own version, which are never the exact same as the guy standing next to them.
Since we do have a capitalist system, any president who wants to eventually transform the country into a kind of quasi-Marxist system, would use whatever tools are available to him, and start putting together the building blocks he needs to eventually flip the country.
A big, top down, centrally controlled, authoritarian government, which controls vast portions of the private sector, is where we are steamrolling to, just because we aren't there yet, does not mean Obama doesn't wish to get us there.

Whatever your thoughts about communism, the fact remains that while Obama has been in office he's supported numerous efforts to bail-out private businesses and corporations. He's done nothing to advance a communist agenda. And he's done less to further a socialist agenda than most recent presidents.
And when you ask a question about the President, and then bring up random comments by liberals and others, you do realize that these other remarks have nothing to do with the President? Muddy thinking makes muddy arguments.
Romney, with his dedication to crony capitalism and government bailouts of financial gamblers comes a lot closer to being a communist then Obama. Neither are communist but Romney is an example of socializing profits and privatizing loss. He keeps the profits and we bailout the pension funds he BAINed for his profit.
President Obama is not a socialist, not a communist, and not a fascist. People need to get a grip on what they all mean before calling out random insults.
I've seen the president called all three of those on a single page of a thread, so it is hardly worth trying to educate people. Pick one -ist, and be done with it.
