10/10 through 10/16 Um, today is 10/17, the day after the debate. Thats a poll before it, and a lot of people have discounted the Gallup poll because many expected large swings in the polls for Romney in Florida and other states. Gallup is an outlier on Ohio right now.

But as I've always said, polls, don't mean squat on 11/6, you have to look at all of them, throw out the highest, and throw out the lowest, look for the ones in the middle, usually thats kind of where the truth is.

But I do find it funny that you're saying this is the day after the debate, we won't see a debate shift, if there is one, until probably early next week, Friday at the earliest.

Too bad the popular vote doesn't matter.

Unlike many polls, Gallup carefully omits any information about how many Democrats and Republicans its sample has.

Anybody know?

Two weeks ago it was like 3 to 1 Dems in Ohio, who the hell knows now. Gallup does much better on a state to state, which gives Romney the lead in Virgina, North Carolina, and Florida, then they do when they lump all of the battleground electorate together.

The demographics of Ohio and Iowa are quite different from Florida/Virginia. Its like the "national" polls, they are pointless. You've got to look at things state by state, because thats the sad truth behind the electoral college system, multiple states, or all the states together don't matter. Popular vote, doesn't matter.

Exactly, the electoral college now favors Obama. Obama can lose the popular vote and win the election, Romney cannot.

HEY!!!! You stole my post!!! I was going to post that. Well, anyway, I heard it first on Rush Limbough.
So, I guess since the mainstream media thinks O'bummer won the debate last night, seems to me all Romney has to do is point out all the lies O'bummer makes, -if the monerator will allow him to, that is, and doesn't try to shut him up or support O'bummer's lies like Sister Crawly did. (I also noticed that Romney had to debate two liers, O'bummer and the monerator, and he won!) Maybe, just maybe, the public is now beginning to figure this out. GALLUP: ROMNEY OPENS SIX POINT LEAD, 51-45
Plus, Triage: Obama Pulling Out of NC, FL
