I went to Best Buy to return a computer cable, and even though I had all the unopened packaging and the receipt, they still demanded to see my driver's license, or they'd have to call a manager.
Don't these people know that expecting someone to have a driver's license is racist???

When I looked at your thread you had one view. Now you have two. I'm not sure where you are going with this, probably sarcasm, but for the moment I'll assume that you are being sincere. So, I will ask; why is asking for a driver's license racist?

They have never asked to see my drivers license??? Maybe they thought you looked a little suspect?
Its retail man, I worked at Target for a while and anytime I worked in Guest Services I had to ask to see their license if returning/exchanging a product that had substantial value such as a TV. Trust me, we aren't trying to give you a hard time, we hardly want to be there ourselves but to continue being paid as little as we do make, we have to follow company guidelines. When I worked in Target I had no problem calling my manager (LOD's-Lead on Duty) to deal with customers who may try to debate with me, I'm not getting in any trouble for doing what's right. Another thing people would get offended by was when they had to buy nicotine patches, cold medication, tylenol, etc because I had to see a ID, you think I cared about seeing a ID for these type of products? Nope, but the computer made me scan their ID to proceed with the purchase.
So just take a chill pill, they weren't being racist the computer may have asked to scan it.

I was at a gas station the other day and both bathrooms were closed for cleaning and I overheard a man standing in front of the men's room complaining "This is racist". The girl with the mop replied "Wait, what? How is this racist....?" He just turned around and walked out without replying.
So we have to show an ID to return a computer cord but not to vote? Makes a lot of sense doesn't it. Its probably pretty commonplace but shows how warped our priorities are. Just the other day I sold some music cds to a store for 5 bucks and they asked to see my ID which nobody seems to bat an eye at, and yet liberals are outraged that somebody might be "disenfranchised" because we want the same at the polls.
Speaking of Best Buy I'm rather glad they're laying off workers and closing stores, they're overpriced, selection isn't that great, and their salespeople tend to be pushy from my experience. Good riddance.
Best Buy is a Minnesota company and while we're on the topic of racism heres an ad campaign that recently went on in Duluth, MN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6YPmqyOHrY
Its very divisive and a poor idea if you ask me.
