After the Koch's, Beck, and Palin hijacked the real tea party and transformed it into some kind of "new" hard right political party, that's all the talk was in 2010.
Fox, the "main stream media", everywhere the tea party was front and center. Lavish tea party express buses shipping people all over the country, Koch funded events almost every weekend, tea party candidates also on these highly decorated buses, even Beck having a large tea party event he hyped up for months.

Right after the 10' elections, it's almost like the Koch's and co. were the trashy high school quarter back that kept leading on the head cheerleader with pomp and circumstance, then when he got what he wanted, dumped her on the curb, promised to call, and never did.

Bachmann was the only solid tea party presidential candidate that even the tea party didn't back. Willard I don't think once has acknowledged the tea party. The "tea party express" is nowhere to be found. No rallies, no palin, no beck, no nothing.

At this point the tea party has become a toxic association to the GOP as when they came into office, they didn't support "less government" and "less spending" like the promised, in fact did the opposite by supporting every huge government and huge spending to the rich bill that came their way.

Has the GOP realized they created a monster, and is trying to quietly shut it down?

Today Gallup has Romney up by seven points and RCP's electoral college prediction has flipped to Romney.

Obama will be a one-term president.

I think the republican party was in fear of the original tea party people so what they did was corrupt them from the inside and turned them into a shill for the far right once they did that they found the crazier ones and installed them into positions of power. How else would you explain nutjobs like Allen west ?

As opposed to being suckered by George Soros? 1st place in the Ghetto Games? Lifetime supply of signed Obama posters?

Isn't it fun making lame posts AND threads?

I can certainly sympathize with the core Tea Party belief of limited government. Which is why is baffles me that any one of them would back Romney, who wishes to expand government.
