I'll ask the same question I asked in the other thread about this:

Just what IS 'traditional America'?

Landed, slave-owning gentry ruling the roost?

The average man being able to afford a home?

Black and White lunch counters at the local Five & Ten?

Volunteers feeding the hungry?

Meddling in other countries' affairs like the CIA in Chile?

Fighting a World War for good reason?

Fighting a war in SouthEast Asia for no good reason?

Putting a man on the moon?

Putting a man in a foxhole to fight someone else's war?

Sending aid to an earthquake ravaged land because we can?

Invading/occupying another country that's done nothing to us because we can?

Developing a society that lives rather well by world standards?

Having some Americans live in conditions that are horrid by anyone's standards?

Producing life saving drugs for many?

Wasting million$ on a war on other drugs?

Just what/where IS this mystical 'traditional America' Mr. O'Reilly speaks of?

'Traditional' America exists only in peoples' minds, not in reality. As any country must to survive, America is constantly changing and the idea of 'tradition' changes as well.

Are you in contact with reality? Just what did I ask that's confined to any particular state(s)

Secular progressives?

I blame the idiots pandering to the irrelevent and obstructive religious right for losing the election for us (GOPers). I blame them for ruining the country because they put the government right back into the hands of the socialist-bent liberals by acting like a bunch of neanderthals who anyone would be embarrassed to vote for.

I have been on this forum a long time, and I am known to be a conservative. So you know I am not trolling. But this year...this is the year I officially throw away any affiliation with the republican party. You effed up when we needed you. You're an embarrassment to any logical, sane, thinking, compassionate member of the 21st century, and OF COURSE we lost the election.

Going independent for sure.

Traditional American = Individual freedom.

It does not mean a freedom to follow just the Judeo-Christian God and all that comes with it. It means take care of yourself, and if you don't want your kids doing what you consider "evil" and a "sin", then you teach them why in a rational way.

Telling kids that an invisible Sky daddy says you shouldn't do this only lasts so long. I teach my children that I believe in a God, and I describe where I see God, but I don't tell them to be good because God said so. I teach them that good deeds and good behavior is its own reward and leads to a happy, fruitful life. God doesn't have anything to do with being good, you should be good just because its the right thing to do.

And if someone decides that smoking a plant, or drinking a beer isn't evil, what business is it of anyone elses to say otherwise?

Mr O'Reilly apparently believes people making a personal decision on who/what to vote for is not 'traditional' America, you'd the author of historical books set in America might know better.

O'Reilly needs to get some new material. This is nothing more than the war on Christmas redux. The moderate for Faux News speaks. Ha. Moderate and Faux News, what an oxymoron.

I'd say that a big part of the reason the GOP is going down is a backlash against talk radio and Fox News. Keep on feeding into it O'Reilly, ya big dummy.

Honestly, if Akin and Mourdock had not made those completely stupid comments on rape, they likely would have won their Senate races (I still think Dick Lugar was a much better candidate for IN, but anyways).

Would that have changed the national Presidential election? Probably not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would have swayed votes back towards Romney. Were 100,000 people in Ohio impacted by the national coverage of two Republican men saying stupid, asinine things about women and rape? Would Romney's share of the national vote have been larger? Possibly.
