Obama wants everyone to go off the fiscal cliff so everyone pays higher taxes for political gain. Gigs up Obama, you might think you can blame republicans but the buck stops with you.

You just have a very merry Christmas over there in Hawaii while the rest of Americans have to worry about getting less in their paychecks.

Yeah right

That must be why he wants no one with an income under $400,000/year to pay higher taxes, right? Give me a break!

Funny I don't hear the Lefties asking this question.

It appears... and I agree. Actually our next check is Jan 2, and we've been told 'do not pass GO'..... (until further notice).

bluesjuke, could you please point me to any of your posts from 2000-2008 where you were complaining about George Bush taking month-long vacations back on his home ranch in TX? I can't seem the find them. Thanks!

Which is why he's letting the Bush tax cuts expire....we all know they only helped the rich.

Keep telling yourself this....won't make it true but you'll feel better. His plan is to tax all of us. That's why he's letting the Bush tax cuts, which did things like eliminate the marriage penalty, expire.

Smile Gigs up Obama .. Obama wants everyone to pay higher taxes

This is all on Boehner. The whole fiscal cliff fiasco is a GOP fabrication they hoped would defeat Obama. It didn't. Now' it's ready to devour the Pubs. Just another in a long list of bad moves they've made over the past decade. They're slow learners.

Given where we sit, it's a slap in the face for the president to be vacationing somewhere where most people who voted for him will never see other than in pictures while the country wrestles with the fiscal cliff and higher taxes.

Sadly, those who voted for him will only see what he really is in the end and then they'll still try to deny...deny....deny....or blame the republicans...

I suggest we all batton down the hatches. My new years resolution is to make only required purchases. I have to find a way to spend $4K less because that's my portion of the higher taxes. That's $80/week. I'm sure the average middle class family spending $80 less per week will have zero impact on the economy....

Hold on peeps....we're about to go down the BIG hill on the roller coaster. I fear that this time, the recession will be complete with inflation. I'm having dejavu (lived through the recession of the late 70's/early 80's).

I'm not thrilled with the marriage penalty tax coming back either. That one is just not fair. Married couples should not pay more taxes than unmarried couples just because they're married. Bush got this.

He attacks the rich while the loss of these tax rates will hit the middle class and poor much harder
