Thomas Friedman is a traitor. The liberals are claiming that the election gave them the right to throw Israel under the bus...

I forced my way through The Lexus and The Olive Tree. I started The World Is Flat, couldn't get past page 20. The guy's a total hack.

This isn't to say that I'm a huge Israel supporter, but Friedman's definitely not my cuppa.

Wow, so that's the Zionist perspective, is it? Anyone who disagrees with Bibi is a self-loathing Jew, a traitor to his people. Nice. I've heard that before, I think.

What about the article makes him a traitor?
Is Israel now part of the US?
I know we support their economy more than we support our own, but traitorous?
No.

Here you go:
traitor - definition of traitor by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.
trai·tor (trtr)
n.
One who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason.

English.
It's a pretty good language when used correctly.

Our national interest gives us the right, and obligation, to throw Israel under the bus.

Very interesting. An American who doesn't support the current policies of the government of Israel is a trator?

I think you're confused about the country to which Americans owe their loyalty.

A Jewish-American, I suspect the OP meant. In effect, he's accusing Friedman of being a kapo. Very pretty.

More Jewish people voted for Obama than Romney. I suspect if they thought Obama was out to shaft Israel they would not have voted as such

Let's see... just joined, with a whopping 12 posts, and all of 'em the typical RWNJ hysterical hogwash. So whaddaya bet this is another one of our many pre-election astro-turfing friends, suddenly popping up out of the woodwork again under a new name (and so original too... lol)?! Hmmm, l wonder which one it is....?!

There's no difference between the government and the people who live under that government?
Then people from the US are SOL.
And that's not the experience I've had around the world.
