The Democratic party is the one that divides up its constituents by promising different things to get their vote, not the GOP. The GOP is open to anyone that agrees with its economic philiosophy.

I don't see how that doc should be used as an exhibit against the whole institution of welfare. I know plenty of people who've been able to do so much because of government programs.
