I keep wondering if people like him are considered racist when I certainly would be. I agree with all he says but since I have been kept from using some of the words he uses I don't go there. So much of what he says is so very true, especially about the slaves.
The very minute someone calls me a savage, the conversation ends right there. I don't take crap from anyone. And then he goes on to call Black people monkeys and slaves. If someone was talking to me like that, I stop listening. The only think that will do is make me furious.
If he had a message he wanted to get across, he could have done so without the inflammatory words.
Exactly, my question to white people, if one of you had said what he said would'nt you be looked upon as being a racist? So why is it any different if he said it, besides there is no indication that he is even an African American! Hell he could have been an African, Hatian, or any other ethnicity that happens to be black. Many Blacks in America are familiar with the disdain many non-African Americans have for them.
He did not make any such assumption. At one point he says they voted for Obama just because he's black. At another point he says they voted for Obama just beause he has Democrat after his name.
In any case, one needs to look at reality even when it isn't politically correct. There are millions of black people in this country. It is simply a statistical impossibility that a group of that size who share nothing but skin pigmentation and are informed on the issues will agree on those issues at a 90+ percentage. That simply isn't reality. People are too diverse. Across profession, religion, wealth, gender, geographic location, personal interests, etc black people vote the same way 9 out of 10 times. That's not explainable without there being some overriding factor influencing their voting pattern.
I know it'd make a liberal feel good to hold that Democrats are the truly enlightened party with all the correct answers to life's problems and virtually all blacks have thoroughly investigated the party platforms and independently come to that conclusion, but the world just doesn't work that way.
Whether he is right or wrong about why blacks vote as a bloc the fact that they do vote as a bloc can't be reasonably questioned. And recognizing that fact is not racist.
I guess mitt's jacked up campaign did not mean anything huh? I bet if the republicans keep catering the teabaggers in this manner blacks will vote overwhelmingly for whoever is running against them regardless of race. Come to think of it, if Obama was any other race don't you think that the blacks would have voted the same way? I think that you and others are really downplaying the intelligence of blacks in this country and understating the fact that mitt was caught in lie after lie and made too many negative comments about the American people in general.
No, they don't. The essence of all stereotypes is that behavior is endemic to someone's skin color.
A stereotype would be that a black person is a criminal BECAUSE of the color of their skin. See it is ridiculous and racist.
So no stereotypes by the very meaning of the word never has any basis in reality unless one subscribes to the idea of skin color being determinative of a person's actions or thoughts or feelings.

Everything in bold is what I have been saying on this thread. If he had a message, there were better ways of saying it. Otherwise, this man is racist.
