Damn, Americans should be working soon after they can walk, and till they die.

Roughly 10,000 people in the US turn 65 EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Do the math.

I've heard that argument before. Instead of the Pleasant Prairie Electric Generating plant belching black soot from coal burning, it is belching steam from the coolers, and polluting less, which is positive.

I'm simply pointing out the fact that I know PERSONALLY that the Wingnut claim that "Government can't create jobs" (which is seen so often on this board) is pure bunk.

Ken
I will admit to being 1/2 wingnut and 1/2 sensible.

That's a LOT better than most Rightwingers on this board.

Yes, Thanks!

You do realize, don't you, that the economy needs to generate 200,000 jobs per month to break even?. This, of course, is a time of year when we would expect jumps in hiring due to Christmas. That has not happened. Buckle up- it is going to be a bumpy ride for the next four years.

More people are unemployed, yet the "unemployment percentage" dropped due to 540,000 people who have simply stopped looking for jobs.

Only a liberal would cheer bad economic news. Just wait until Obamacare is implemented Jan 1st- then we will see some real economic misery.

My people dont CARE what it is, right now! We have our black President and ANYTHING he does is A-OKAY! 98 PERCENT VOTED FOR HIM.....AGAIN!

But just for information's sake it was around 17 percent ....HIGHER THAN ANYBODY ELSE'S GROUP!
What did Mitt Romney say or do in his campaign that would specifically address issues concerning Black Americans?

Mitt Romney went to ONE inner city neighborhood early in his campaign, got criticized and then ran like a b*tch with his tail between his legs.

Remember this is the guy who said "I don't care about poor people! We have a safety net. If it's broke we'll fixed it"

Black Americans had two choices either choose the Democratic candidate or choose the candidate supported by bigots like Rush Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly along with many other racists, and hate mongers.

I haven't read the whole thread yet but the first thing I thought when I read the first post was, "I wonder how long before the same people who blamed the president when the numbers were bad are now going to refuse to give him credit when the numbers are good?"

So predictable, aren't they?

But, yeah, good news. I heard some speculation this week that the report wasn't going to be good news. I'm glad they were wrong.

With more than 200,000 boomers exiting the labor force each month through retirement, the rule of thumb that the economy needs to add 140,000 jobs per month to keep up with population growth no longer holds. The new normal is 100,000, which is why 150,000 new jobs a month has brought the unemployment rate from 9.5 percent to 7.9 percent over the last two years.
Go ahead, live in a world where facts are whatever supports your position.

Come on! You're being sensible. That's something 0bam supporters will never get because it requires action of brain cells. Too difficult for them.
