Quote:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has expressed hope for a deal before Christmas. And she made clear Wednesday that lawmakers should be home instead of on Capitol Hill by then.
Excuse me?

As a working person, while I would LIKE to be with my family during holidays, if it's required for me to work, I work. What makes "LAWMAKERS", better than the rest of us?

Fiscal talks spark feud over whether to spend Christmas in Washington or home | Fox News

Quote:
“Faith and family, that’s what the holidays are about,” the California Democrat said during a news conference. “These are bonding opportunities for families and strengtheners for our families. We should home for that.”
Yes, in one sense she is right, BUT, she also has a JOB to do, as do the rest of the working Americans.

Do your damned Job, is what I think. She as well all the other lawmakers were elected to do a job, and they should do it. A real budget should be passed, one that is balanced, and should be adhered to.

Again, I would like a lot of things, as do many others, but sometimes we do what we have to do, and if that means working through the holidays, so be it. Why should our elected officials think they are better than us?

We need to go over the cliff. It's as of now the best program out there to reduce spending.

Obama will be sunning in Hawaii. He's won and can now take the next 4 years playing golf and pandering to his Union Buds.

To bad we don't have a President who truly leads for the best of the US.

I don't see it as just an Obama failure, I see it as a failure of the entire 2 branches of government.

How long has it been since we have had a federal budget passed?

Why can't they balance a budget. Trim everything. No more welfare, food stamps, section 8. That's what CHARITY is for, not federal taxes.
