And then Obama embraces it for the sake of bipartisanship, all of a sudden the idea sucks, just like Obama care, veterans jobs bill etc etc etc

Hey..bear carcasses was the first item they debated when they returned to Congress.

Can't you see, they do not want to deal with this debt; they never have.
Raise the debt ceiling and kick the can down the road.

I knew it was going to happen. I gaurantee you that the GOP would not have touched the debt even if they won. Like Ron Paul said, when both sides say "spending cuts" they really mean cutting future increases in spending, no real cutting at all

CUTS is a 4 letter word never mentioned in DC.

They are all ignoring what is going to happen because they know the can will be kicked down the road.
Just like they all knew the debt ceiling would be raised.
Just like they all know Bernanke will keep cranking money out at the Fed.

BAU

The GOP is already talking about caving in and raising taxes to avoid the fiscal cliff. I love how the talk radio hosts make it seem like we're gonna go voer the fiscal cliff and that a budget is not going to be passed. Please, it's all drama and theater. They ALWAYS magically come through at the 11th hour. The sequestration is not going to happen

Yes, bring in millions of indigent impoverished and uneducated people for the taxpayers to feed, shelter, pay for their high birth rates, and educate -- that's a great way to get spending levels up.

Food stamps is a stimulus program.
Spend our way out of debt.

They obviously intend to keep giving unemployment extensions way into 2013 and beyond.

If they were going to let the spending cuts happen, not just the big hike in taxes, those unemployed Americans would need some jobs. Giving good jobs to foreigners who break the laws wouldn't be too good for all those unemployed citizens.

Their corporate masters want their unlimited cheap labor, how else can they profit so nicely? Unlimited cheap foreign labor that is highly subsidized by the taxpayers is certainly a kind of corporate welfare.
