Yeah but they thought there were two shooters.

The arrest is of the person suspected of being another shooter but the news is now saying that this may be a so-called "person of interest".

Why do these people who are angry at the world for everything have to go shoot up a school, or other public places? Go off yourself for cryin' out loud! But don't take others with you!

Aren't most schools already gun free zones with metal detectors at the doors? If not, then we need laws, yes, we definitely do. We also need to return to traditional morality where parents stay together, put their kids ahead of their own selfish needs, and teach them right from wrong. Why are there so many of these lost, disturbed, amoral people wandering around today killing at random and then taking their own lives? They don't even value their own lives, so how can they be expected to value anyone else's?

I wonder how much this has to do with some pagan prediction about the end of the world that has people freaking out lately.

Guns: The new third rail in American politics. It's become the height of political correctness to even broach the subject of gun control. They're pond scum, but we all must salute the NRA and its propaganda machine. They've done a magnificent job.

The subject of gun control will only make sense after you prove your big government has been at all effective in drug control. When you show that laws against meth smuggling over the border have been effective and that drugs aren't readily available in all our middle schools.

Prohibition doesn't work -- or are you going to claim it does?

Strange...99.9% of the first reactions on Twitter were for prayers for the little children and teachers.

I guess political points were scored today for Mr. Frum and those who apologize for him.

Sadly, this seems to be an almost daily occurrence now. Soon it won't even make headline news anymore..it will just be expected.

Here in Texas we have laws prohibiting someone from entering a school with weapons.

If Connecticut has such laws -- then it's evident gun laws don't work any better than drug laws are working. In fact here it's easier for kids to buy pot and meth at school than it is for them to buy a beer. Beer is legal.
