This is where I depart from conservatives. I think it's time to ban assault guns. It may not have been used in this case we will see but they offer no societal purpose. Americans have proven incapable of using these weapons responsibly and thus should have them purged from society.
No mother or father should send their kid to elementary school and have them never come back.
So the people that support safe gun ownership somehow convinced these lunatics to pull the trigger in these atrocious crimes? I like how all of the people that are trying to outlaw guns have absolutely ZERO to say about the vile and mentally imbalanced criminals that commit these crimes. You would rather try to capitalize on tragedy and belittle people that have different views than you instead of focusing on the actual criminal in this case and what caused them to snap and do this. The root cause of the problem is not the gun or people that promote the safe ownership of them, its the criminal. As soon as people get that through their heads and stop trying to blame people that had no involvement, maybe we can figure out how to help prevent these kinds of attacks.
Instead of blaming the shooter you are going to blame MILLIONS of gun owners like me who have done nothing wrong?
What a cop out.
