More people died in this shooting today than in the UK, which severely restricts firearms, from shootings in an entire year. Repeal the applicable provisions of the 2nd Amendment, confiscate guns and put them in armories allowing them only to be checked out by unquestionably responsible people for hunting and shooting sports.
That's the logistical problem. I guess you can start off banning its production and importation. Then move to a voluntary amnesty where folks turn them in for some sort of monetary compensation then enact laws that criminalize its possession I see no other way.

Guns: The new third rail in American politics. It's become the height of political correctness to even broach the subject of gun control. They're pond scum, but we all must salute the NRA and its propaganda machine. They've done a magnificent job.

It appears to me that nobody but the shooter(s) WAS armed. How'd that work out? Your rant is ignorant.

Good one!

Should I ask for permission to breathe too?
Exactly!! For some reason liberals think that suddenly criminals won't have firearms anymore if they are banned. Kind of like marijuana, heroin etc...

You are missing the point.

A RIGHT is a RIGHT. Period. It is not up to those who don't agree with it to want to limit it because it didn't fullfil their agenda.

I highly doubt that. Very few gun owners would use their guns if there was a danger of someone actually shooting back. They would hand them right over.

Can we please wait before the dead are buried before we talk politics. We have as many as 30 people dead, including innocent children.

This is primarily directed towards the liberals who jump with joy whenever something like this happens. Calm the f--k down, at least wait until the blood is dry before you set about repealing the 2nd Amendment!

The gungrabbers need to show some sympathy for the victims. Politics is for tomorrow.

Nope they wouldn't lots of folks are all talk few actually will act on convictions. Of course there will be some incidents but this assumes the government will aggressively seize arms. They can ban these weapons without doing so.
