Too many people still think that having a gun, gives them protection. It's an illusion and they seem to think they are all "Quick Draw McGraw".
Yes and we accept the murder of 20 innocent children and 6 school employees as collateral damage in our right to own assault rifles and other high powered fire arms. That's the America we live and that is who we are. If it wasn't then we would do something about it. Instead we will cry and light a candle. Pray to God, keep asking why, and do nothing. This will happen again and again. Keep doing the same thing and we will keep getting the same results.
I've been reading some of your comments about gun control and I've got to say that you must have never lived near a high crime neighborhood or have been robbed or shot at by anyone with an unregistered illegal gun. Let's say we ban all guns like you want. Well what are you going to do when a criminal with an illegal gun breaks into your house? You gonna call the cops? Good luck with them making it there on time to protect you and whoever you live with. Maybe you're some kind of knife throwing expert or something though, who knows....lol
You can defend your home just fine with a pistol, shotgun or rifle why do you need an automatic weapon with 100s of bullets? How many invaders are you expecting?
Interesting how in this liberal public school, this killer was allowed to walk on in with guns, but you know if he had tried bringing in a Bible, he would have been immediately stopped and blocked.
Not so. The public school I worked in had a student bible group that brought bibles to school everyday, and studied together at lunch and after school. They just weren't allowed to do so during class time.
Don't leave out the part that the shooter was a graduate of Newtown High School with honors.
Father very wealthy and divorced spouse living accordingly in same town.
This wasn't a boogie man. It was one of their own. A product of what "appears"
to be "perfect", now, with mental illness documented.
This has nothing to do with gun control, but more to do with what America deems as
"successful" and the pitfalls of that psychologically. Whether it be on the rug
or under it.
Next, we will find out the young adult was medicated, or not....
I find the mental illness thing a cop out. Plenty of mentally ill people don't go kill elementary school kids. It's clear though this man should have been institutionalized. A lot of suburbanites refuse to recognize their kid is not perfect and is not fit for free reign in society. I guess they view it as a personal failure or something.
He's a Baptist minister. Do you really expect anything different?
If you believe world events are influenced by an all-powerful deity, when a nation makes that deity their enemy as America has to the Christian God, it makes sense that God would allow more bad things to happen.
Gee, nice"god" who enjoys slaughtering children to make a point
The Bible teaches us to love our neighbor and not judge. If you can find someone that practices those teachings and yet commits a crime like this, I'm all ears.
I guess you haven't been over to the "Christian" forums. There is a whole lot of judging and hating going on.

Automatic weapons are illegal. Perhaps you folks should actually educate yourselves about what your talking about for ONCE before howling?
