Here is the guy they blamed and put his picture on the news. His name is Ryan Lanza. He is in a panic the poor fellow. This is exactly what they did in the Batman shooting spree in which ABC's Brian Ross tried to blame a guy from facebook tied to the Tea Party with a similar name to the actual shooter.

Ryan Lanza

I saw there was another Ryan Lanza who got pegged, too.
The American media has become a laughingstock.

Everybody wants to be the first on the story, this is absurd.

Which is why I don't watch or read American media anymore. It's full of tabloid, subpar journalism meant for low information voters.

Yes indeed. They don't realize that they could put the guy in harms way for falsely blaming him prematurely.

The media has been a cluster f* all day. They've been changing their facts every 10 minutes. Instead of worrying about being the first to report something, how about focusing on your accuracy and actually verifying something before you hurry up and report it?

It's the same family though--Adam Lanza, the shooter, is Ryan's 20 year old brother. In this situation it's a more understandable mistake.

If he gets threatened or harmed, then I hope he sues the **** out of at least one media corporation for slander.
