This is the country many would be more than happy to live in.
KENNESAW, Ga - Several Kennesaw officials attribute a drop in crime in the city over the past two decades to a law that requires residents to have a gun in the house. In 1982, the Kennesaw City Council unanimously passed a law requiring heads of households to own at least one firearm with ammunition.
Hmm. One of the lowest violent crime rates in the nation, fast growing city, and was voted one of the top 10 best places to live.
Prior to enactment of the law, Kennesaw had a population of just 5,242 but a crime rate significantly higher (4,332 per 100,000) than the national average (3,899 per 100,000). The latest statistics available – for the year 2005 – show the rate at 2,027 per 100,000. Meanwhile, the population has skyrocketed to 28,189.
Sure, can they claim the LARGE drop that this town has, 25 years murder free, large increase in population, etc etc?
There is no way to know if that has any impact on crime. If all cities were increasing in violence and Kennesaw was the exception, then it'd be noteworthy.
Also, the population would increase anyway, due to its proximity to Atlanta.

This: it's just like sayin' "oh Vermont has no strict gun laws and almost no crime, oh yeah, gun control doesn't work" and then you see the murder rate of Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia and other states to realize that gun-violence problem is a widespread problem in USA.
we don't need to arm anyone, but those who wish to do so, should have that liberty.
any perpetrator would then be left guessing as to what a gun free zone is at their own peril.
