Inglorious Basterds pretty much reeked. It was stylish but it was so comic bookish that I couldn't even take any of it seriously. It made " Captain America" look realistic and hitorically accurate. I know it wasn't made to be a real war movie but they could have tried to keep it less cartoonish. "The Dirty Dozen" was light years ahead of this piece of drek.
This movie looks just as ridiculous. A good story idea trampled to death by the brain dead souless zombies that have taken over Hollywood. Plus Jamie Foxx is too much of a warped little stooge to bear watching.
It was a comedy, the movie was intentionally outlandish. You obviously are not familiar with Tarantino's work.
He's a comedian for christ sakes! Would it be any different if a white comedian got up in front of a bunch of people, talking about his new movie and says "and I get to kill a bunch of black people"? No, it wouldn't. We'd all be chuckling and saying "dang, I can't wait to see that new movie!". Jamie did it for a few laughs. That's all

Since when have any of Tarrantino's films been realistic since he made Jackie Brown? He makes over-the-top films that are homages to the classic westerns, kung fu flicks, and gangster thrillers he grew up with... They're supposed to be comic book films.

That's the only problem I see. Had a white comic said that, he would never work again. The double standard is aggravating.

Are you trying to tell me that i'm gonna have to open up a history book, or watch a historically based movie, to learn something about history? Shoot! I was just going to watch 'Pulp Fiction' a few hundred more times until something historic popped into my brain. Damn you, Quentin! Damn you!
He'd be offended too if he were served "black people food" like fried chicken and grape soda.
It must suck to be Jaime Foxx, unable to enjoy eating food without ascribing racial characteristics to it.
It's hard being a comic, especially when so many people have no sense of humor.
