Actually I think the OP was being sarcastic. If you go to the actual link you will see that it presents data showing showing that guns are not used in self-defense nearly as often as people may think. And that you have a far higher chance of having a gun in the home waved in the face of one of the family members than an intruder.

Which they can not verify or validate because they use epidemiological methods to establish it. Nothing meaningful will be obtained from it.
