Too bad you have your misguided beliefs. The reality is that low tax rates aren't the end-all for life on Earth. The reality is also true that in decades past, our kids had a much brighter future when tax-rates were far higher than they are today. We had better funded schools, primarily due to revenue sharing from the federal government, we had better funded infrastructure and a more enlightened society.

I see no evidence that the American Dream has improved since Reagan and Bush slashed taxes. In fact, it has gotten worse for most Americans.

With ObamaCare, your children can stay on your health plan until 26 and not go into bankruptcy if they have a serious medical condition. The Progressive achievements of the New Deal and the Great Society did far more for the American Dream than the slash and burn policies of conservatives.

it's not like you are comparing higher taxes vs. lower taxes and all other things are equal. you're comparing apples to oranges

since then we've had globalization and more free trade. we're competing with countries with much lower wages and poor environmental laws. of course we will have less jobs and lower paying jobs if business are free to exploit low pay and less regulation elsewhere.

They're destroying a lot of dreams...but fear not, we'll be able to count on the nanny state to take care of our bare essentials....

Rand Paul is the quintessential money-grubbing racist. He exemplifies everything that is wrong with the RW today, and the reason they lost the election.

Very true. Globalization is driving this change. Since we were top dog, our change is going to be painful compared to those third world countries that are enjoying industrialization and the birth of their consumer class.

The changes will keep happening until we meet at a middle ground..a true "global workforce".
And there is nothing your political parties or government can do about that.

Big words, care to elaborate?

I dont trust the man, but he seems no worse than any other political bottom feeder.

The Europe-in-Rubble Excuse - NYTimes.com

There is a good reason to discourage exporting jobs. There was a bill introduced last year to do exactly that but the House wouldn't pass it.

It was your choice to have children, not mine. My wife of over 20 years and myself are quite content without the liabilities you call offspring.

Because they are YOUR children they are subject to the law of the land just as you are.
The Affordable Care Act, same sex marriage, social safety net's, etc were all put into place by MY party and thank God for it.

Instead of complaining about what YOUR children will face, you should be on your hands and knees thanking the party that is making the word equality not just a catch phrase but a reality.

Time to face reality. It's a new day and those opposed will fall by the wayside.

Oh and Mr. XXX we already have your children.

Not to worry, they will fare far better than you ever did.
