It's no myth... and by calling it that you've revealed your true intentions with this poll.

What do you mean by "...it that..."?

What is the proper, accepted, politically correct to ask this question?

Is asking this question even allowed by progressive society?

And what do you mean by "true intentions"?

You referred to "the white advantage" as "a myth." Why did you call it a myth?

Given the countless programs in which minorities are the chief beneficiary, it is indeed a myth.

Actually I am asking if the myth is real.

What is the problem with that?

The fact that you used the word "myth" suggests that you are trying to bias the question. You could have simply asked "Do you believe there is a 'White Advantage' in the US?"

Because you used the term myth suggests that you don't believe there is and want to try and impute the idea that it is a myth in respondents.

It is what pollsters call a question with a "leading opinion."

Of course it's not a myth.

Because the political and economic power structure in this country is mostly white.

Which means that white people are more likely to get ahead in that power structure.

Which means their descendants are also more likely to remain ahead in that power structure.

Because connections are everything, and people with connections among the power élite -- which is mostly white -- have innate advantages compared to those who don't.

And the few existing programs whose intent is to level the playing field for historically disadvantaged minorities haven't even come close to changing that.

So if you're a white person who hasn't gotten ahead, don't blame the black man who you think got hired ahead of you (or, for that matter, the one in the White House) -- blame yourself. You really have no excuse.

Yep, it's a tactic straight out of the Karl Rove playbook.
