The state mistakenly demolished 12 homes in Detroit, including one that had been purchased by a pair of artists who thought they had found their dream home. It was in Detroit but adjacent to Grosse Pointe. They had planned to do a little work on it, and move in by Spring 2013. The home was mistakenly demolished, along with 11 others owned by a real estate investor who had planned to rehab them.
