Anecdotal, empirical and statistical evidence. Have you ever attended an inner-city school, much less set foot in one, much less spoken to anyone who attends one? Do you know anything about the physical condition of these schools, the level of safety? Have you experienced the effects of intentional underfunding of urban education?
Those are some of the "inner city" HS that I have "stepped foot" in. I'm not sure if you are trying to tell me "inner-city" schools are the only ones susceptible to bad test scores. I can show you plenty of small town schools where whites are a minority. I went to one.

How can our forefathers pen some of the most riveting and insightful documents in the history of mankind, before the telephone, internet, electricity, etc, etc and have a life expectancy of under 60?
This is a poor excuse for why "inner city" kids can't excel at the most basic functions of education. They still have textbooks, internet, TV and host of other options that sets them up for infinitely more tools to teach them things than anyone living 50-200 years ago had yet I would stack up the people from that era to most of the people of our era any day in basic tests.
If I ever see someone in person as racially sensitive as some of you City-Data folks, I think that it will take every ounce of strength in my being not to reach over and pop that someone in the mouth.
