because he may have been served an alcohol beverage - he is 19.
Does this stink of harrassment? What about the person that might have served him? Is this payback for his father's new book Government Bullies?
He posted bail.
While I think the drinking age should be lowered to 18 and allowed for under 18 w/parental consent, the law is the law and you your father or grandfather is not an excuse for breaking the law, nor should it be a get out of jail free card.
When a spoiled teen is acting drunk & disorderly it is pretty easy to conclude someone was serving him alochol. I did a lot of drinking as a teen but I simply drank from my alcoholic stepfather's stash and was pretty good at acting more or less sober when there were cops around.
Funny story. It's interesting that the OP left out the part about being intoxicated and disruptive, or about being charged with disorderly conduct.
We weren't there and we don't know how he was acting. Maybe they can prove he was intoxicated and disorderly, but I suspect they will have a hard time proving that he consumed alcoholic beverages within the jurisdiction where he was charged.
No way, there are cameras over every square inch of America's airports. They'll nail him if he consumed it inside the airport.

May have been served? He was drunk, disruptive, etc. etc. He is also 19 and knows it is against the law to drink. Nice that you left all of that out. He deserves any punishment that he gets.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Dept is most corrupt in the US. I see their bullying everyday that I'm in the airport & that's a lot. Paul is fortunate that he wasn't shot.
When I was underage, we were detained many times for suspicion of purchasing/consuming/possession of alcohol. I don't see this as any different. I'm sure they will go after the server, as well.
Is the Paul family being intimidated? I don't know.
I remember back in the day we'd get caught by the cops and they'd just make us dump our beer or whatever out and be told to go home and don't get caught out the rest of the night. I even had a cop catch me with my fake ID and laugh and give it back to me and tell me to get outta here. How times have changed. Can't even have any fun anymore.

I'm quoting the article. The best information we have to date is may have been served!
The liberal police force must have it in for republicans and libertarians. Disorderly conduct too? He must have been kicking and screaming while being arrested and saying, do you have any idea of who I am?
Didn't Larry Craig do that when he was arrested for trying to play footsie in a bathroom?
This story is too funny. Thanks for posting it!
