During a talk radio guest appearance, Michael Savage said that, since the GOP is just a branch of the Dems, and the TP is totally disorganized, what America needs now is a new "Nationalist Party"... all the Right has to do is to find a "charismatic leader":

Michael Savage: America Needs New 'Nationalist' Party

Yeah, GREAT idea, Mr Weiner (Savage's real name). That worked out SOOO well for 1930s Germany!

He just says all this stuff to get folks riled up. At the end of the day, he's just a Republican. Simple as that. He's not the uber principled right wingers that he claims to be. He votes for the establishment Republican in every election despite what he tells his listeners.

His schtick is old.

Sounds like a lot of the conservative "independents" who post on the internets

It doesn't really surprise me. Most of his audience are rage-a-holic armchair dictators.

They would love to be part of a new regime oppressing American freedom. What is sad is that he calls himself an American loving independent after calling for a brutal dictatorship, and offering Newt $1 million to drop out because he though only Romney could win for the GOP.

Last October Michael Savage was replaced on Talk Radio Network with Jerry Doyle. Most of Jerry's ad spots are taken up with pleas to pretty please advertise on his show.

Talker Jerry Doyle Replaces Michael Savage on Talk Radio Network

"Savage, whose real name is Michael Weiner, walked off his show on September 28 after winning a court battle over a contract dispute with TRN. His lawyer told the media that Savage conducted a two-year battle to get out of a 10-year-old contract with the network. Savage complained that his contract precluded him from entering into talks with competing employers and essentially indentured him to TRN for life. After winning the case, Savage left TRN and his former show behind. He reports that he's in already in talks with networks to pick up a new program he plans to launch."

Rush is funny. Don't always agree with him,but usually.
Savage, the few times I ever listened to him, talked about herbal remedies. He also is more a totalitarian than a conservative, and has quite a few liberal stances.

At the heart of all right wing political ideologies is exclusion. This naturally leads to a nation being ruled by a small elite.

Conservatives will always favor having a strong nationalist leader who will instill traditional values into all Americans blah, blah, blah, over democracy.
Conservatives want to worship a great man who they will follow off of a cliff as long as he hates the right groups of Americans and talks about the greatness of America and values.
