Over 1,350 days and the Senate Dems are still dithering over passing a budget. Any private company would have gone bankrupt over that time period, but ... wait ... technically, the US government IS bankrupt!

Obama, Reid, and Pelosi. The new version of The Three Stooges!

Because they don't want to.

They should be forced to follow the law.

They have tried to, but the GOP doesn't give a damn about fiscal sanity. All they want to do is spend, spend, throw grandma off the cliff and spend some more.

Also numerous budget bills have past, if they didn't, the government would shut down.

Why can't the Speaker of the HOUSE pass a plan B with his own GOP folks?

The lack of a concurrent budget resolution is not the same as the lack of a budget. The concurrent budget resolution, which is what has not been passed, is a tool within the federal budget process, not the budget itself.

Just to be clear, because I frequently see obtuse ideological responses to purely factual statements, I am not making any judgment positive or negative about our debt, deficit, congress etc etc.
