Professor claims Sandy Hook Shooting didn't happen...

James Tracy, known for conspiracy theories, claims trained “crisis actors” may have been employed by President Obama’s administration to get public opinion behind gun control laws.

But Tracy, 47, a professor of media history at Florida Atlantic University, wrote: “As documents relating to the Sandy Hook shooting continue to be assessed and interpreted by independent researchers, there is a growing awareness that the media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends.”

The professor writes on his blog, Memory Hole, “While it sounds like an outrageous claim, one is left to inquire whether the Sandy Hook shooting ever took place—at least in the way law enforcement authorities and the nation’s news media have described.” He suggests that there were multiple shooters and that the number of dead is incorrect. The blog post was published on the Global Research site, where it caught the attention of the Web.

It is just the ravings of a lunatic without any evidence except asking questions and just claiming he knows just because.

I lived near a former professor of anthropology that believed the twin towers were burned down by 2 giant mirrors that people couldn't see because of RFID's implanted in their tear-ducts by dentists. Plus people's pets were CIA agents in disguise.

Being educated doesn't prevent some one from losing their marbles. We are all human beings.

I think it's become a standard now that anytime there is any event that makes national news, a conspiracy theory, or several, will follow shortly.

This says a lot about the lack of trust that the public feels when it comes to the media as well as the politicians, don't you think?

I think it says more about a lack of critical thinking skills.

How is that? We are much more critical of the government than previous generations were. We have access to far more information than they did as well. In some ways, we are far more worldly than people were even 50 years ago. We no longer believe every bit of information that is spoon-fed to us from the political machine.

FAU is actually a decent university. This person a genuine tenure/tenure track or adjunct/docent? I can believe a one semester adjunct is unsound but not a regular.

I was wondering how long it would be before alternate scenarios for Sandy Hook would come out.
1. It didn't really happen and the people were paid to say the children and others were killed.
2. It did happen but it was black ops that came in and executed the children and others.

All this as an excuse to take away everyone's guns?

Hey "they" killed 3,000 for an excuse to start a war, why not kill 20 children to take away everyone's guns?

We really need to go back to locking up crazy people, most of these shootings wouldn't happen and we wouldn't hear about all these crazy conspiracy scenarios either.

You know there is an old saying: never let a crisis go to waste.

911 was not wasted. The tech bubble crisis didnt go to waste. The banking crisis didnt go to waste. The housing bubble crisis didnt go to wastd. This crisis will not go to waste.

I read that the University is distancing itself from this guy's talk.
