Inviting students to state their preferred gender pronouns, known as PGPs for short, and encouraging classmates to use unfamiliar ones such as "ze,"'sie," "e," "ou" and "ve" has become an accepted back-to-school practice for professors, dorm advisers, club sponsors, workshop leaders and health care providers at several schools.
I give up, I am too old for all this change. Anyone have a spare unused cave I can move into?
Seriously..... we are now inventing new pronouns?

At the University of Vermont, students who elect to change their names and/or pronouns on class rosters now can choose from she, he and ze, as well as the option of being referred to by only their names.
Who knew Harrier was such a progressive and on the cutting edge of a whole new trend.
Seriously.... so now we are just going to get rid of pronouns?

Big woop. Boys and girls both used to be called girls. You think you'd be able to understand a person in 1,000 years from now? Language changes every day. When All Boys Were Girls
I admit, I had read the article a day or two ago (I assume it is the same one) and was very confused. For instance, was that one male student talking about being referred to as 'they' instead of 'he'? The 'ze' was also weird, in a French sort of way.
However, I was in school when "Ms" was introduced, and hilarity ensured. Now, I use it with regularity. If this 'ze' and 'they' etc catches on, two generations hence nothing will be thought about it.
and college grads wonder why they can't get jobs today.
I guess now we know why the big corporations opt for H1-B workers.
Is crap like this going on in other countries ?
