The wild west had more gun regulation, how ironic is that.

but you had to check it at the sheriff's office or the Grand Hotel, and you couldn't pick it up again until you were leaving town," said Bob Boze Bell, executive editor of True West Magazine, which celebrates the Old West. "It was an effort to control the violence."
If Chicago wants to have tight gun regulations, go for it. You can't however apply the same standards for Chicago as you do rural Wyoming considering the difference in culture is so vast its almost like they aren't even in the same country. If Grover Cleveland would have tried to ban all firearms nationwide, that wouldn't have went over well. He couldn't have done it, as people back then had more respect for the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment.

And yet the "wild west" was much more violent than things are now. Much like cities with the strictest gun control regulations now are far more violent than areas with much more freedom.

And much less people, go figure, desolate places have less violence than crowded mega cities, I wonder why?
You obviously didn't read the OP or the links, why do I bother???
I'm a expert on Mr. Earp......
Don't need to...I know who he took the guns away from.
It sure was CCW holders who filled out 4473s........
