Taking away our guns would be the first step to taking over a country. Look what Hitler did in Nazi Germany, He knew that if the citizens could defend themselves, he would not be able to take over the way he did.

U.S. military notwithstanding, having an armed U.S. citizenry is dangerous to any would be attacker.

And to be fair we should mind our own damn business as well. I'm sure you've seen me post many times on these boards my disdain for continuing the meddling in the middle east, and having bases all over the world. Still Mexico has bigger fish to fry as well as their own issues, and they are in no position to dictate what we do in our own country.
