Oh and EVERY player the mention in that article is black if you didn't know...its not a stereotype its the truth like I said.
You have no point. The only thing I see from you is someone who is being hostile in a passive-aggressive way.
And those football players represent maybe a tiny fraction of the entire Black male population. That is only true for a tiny fraction of the Black population. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that. You're bent on being hateful and hostile.
Not being hateful or hostile. Showing you the truth. These are the people kids of all races look up to,yet they have MULTIPLE kids with MULTIPLE women....I don't see you throwing a fit over anti white racist shows like Honey Boo Boo,BuckWild,or Jersey Shore.
When Oprah Winfrey and former Nickelodeon executive Geraldine Laybourne launched the Oxygen cable network in 2000, "the company [aspired] to be a strong advocate for women." But since its purchase by NBC Universal in 2007, Oxygen has steadily increased its stable of cheaply-produced reality television programming that exploits women, children and now Shawty Lo's "unconventional" family.
We already know that only a narrow range of Black characters or personalities ever makes it onto America's television screens. When combined with the overwhelmingly negative representations of Black Americans we see on the daily news, shows like All My Babies' Mamas reinforce ugly stereotypes about Black men and women — that we're hypersexual, combative and unfit to parent our children. In addition to reducing self-esteem, a number of studies confirm that these distorted portrayals can lead non-Black audiences to hold onto problematic perceptions of Black folks that have dangerous real-world consequences.
A special congratulations is in order to black women. Our collective response showed that we can alter what is projected, by coming together to advocate against these destructive images that are constantly broadcasted all over the world.
Sad isn't it, how trashy shows like Honey Boo Boo and Jersey Shore are perfectly acceptable negative stereotypes.
Consider this though. Most Whites are not going to be judged according to those stereotypes. It is going to be looked at as representative of one segment of the White population.
not to mention, other kinds of unsavory portrayals of Blacks, Black people like me are not going to put up with it. That is why many Black people signed that petition.

I don't see any White people throwing a fit over Honey Boo Boo or Buckwild either.
Besides, what is your beef with All My Babies Mamas being taken off the air?
All My Babies Mamas represents a stereotype of Black people that is despicable, and does not apply to most of the Black population in America. There are people who might see that show, and then think "all Black people are like that". I particularly don't like it because I think of myself as a decent guy. I don't have any kids by anyone. For crying out loud I haven't had sex yet. That show doesn't represent me, it doesn't represent you. It represents the worst that some people think of in Blacks. I don't want to see that on TV. Whatever happened to good shows like The Cosby Show, Parent'hood, and the like?

Exactly. If whites are offended by those shows maybe they should throw a fit about them. No one is stopping you. Why would that be anyone else's responsibility?

You got a point there. I guess white people don't see it as representative of them. I don't think blacks should see this anomoly rapper babydaddy person as representing them either. The president is black, so there's that.

Because according to media we are not the "oppressed" minority in this country. Not yet anyways....the media ignores things like that....you should know that....the media portrays anyone however they want to. Black folks scream racism its yanked! White folks do it its ignored.
