link: TSA to remove controversial X-ray scanners - Yahoo! News

We all knew that those X-ray scanners did more harm and I always avoid them like a plague.

Quote:
At first, both types of scanners showed travelers naked. The idea was that security workers could spot both metallic objects like guns as well as non-metallic items such as plastic explosives. The scanners also showed every other detail of the passenger's body, too.
The TSA defended the scanners, saying the images couldn't be stored and were seen only by a security worker who didn't interact with the passenger.
so we all knew that scanner were taking naked snapshots!!!!

Quote:
Scanners are often used in prisons or on military bases where privacy is not a concern.
So if you step into prison or on military bases - refuse to be scanned lest your naked picture might be stored for ever.

Quote:
The contract to change the software on the scanners came under scrutiny in November when the TSA delivered a "show cause" letter to the company looking into allegations that it falsified test data, which the company denied.
Again, what was the falsified data? If my compay falsifies something then I get sued, company get sued and am liable to pay any or all damages - here nothing Rapiscan get a slap on the wrist!!!

I've always said one day the terrorists will figure out how to make a bomb out of clothing and we'll all have to fly naked.

Last time I was flying I decided to opt-out. The TSA douche tapped on the plastic shield and said like an ***hole,

"See that? Plexiglass. Radiation can't go through that plexiglass, there."

He then continued to pat me down like I'm a terrorist and continued to ***** about how tired he is of explaining the scanners to people. I asked why he doesn't just quit "and get a real job."

The pat-down was a bit more firm after that lol.
